On December 16th Barthe Cortes was arrested in Goma for four months for an offence against the dignity of the government (le`se majesté ). Details of the arrest are unknown. Le`se majesté arrests in Africa are rather rare. Usually the court gives other reason of arrest or; as it happens in countries of severe dictatorship, it does not give it at all.
